Xopenex & the Nebulizer

Even being sick my cute little Mary-Gail manages to be as beautiful and as sweet as ever. I took her to our Ped Wednesday. Mary-Gail has what Rebecca has - bronchitis. No big surprise there. However, our Ped said Mary-Gail's left ear looked like the makings of an ear infection, so she prescribed us the same antibiotic that Rebecca received in the ER in Charleston. I told our Ped that Mary-Gail's coughing fits were killing her (and me) and we needed something other than Tylenol. I got - and filled - a script for Tylenol + Codeine (can only take for 4 days). We're also doing breathing treatments (Xopenex - pronounced Zo-pen-x) 3 times a day. Both are helping out tremendously!

Rebecca saw our Ped for a f/u visit from the ER on Thursday. I was surprised to hear our Ped say that Rebecca still had "coarse + thick lungs." Our Ped also said she could hear wheezing on Rebecca's exhale, and with Rebecca's poor lung history she was worried about possible pneumonia. Nice. Rebecca is also doing breathing treatments 3 times a day, but she doesn't manage it as nicely as Mary-Gail does.
Such a big, brave girl. Mary-Gail holding the tube for her breathing treatment
Becca Becca is feeling much better!
My mouth is numb - had another dentist appt b/c of another aching tooth!
