Park City, Utah

Lovey planned a weekend away for us to celebrate our ninth wedding anniversary. We went to lovely Park City, Utah, for the weekend. Lovey had reservations for us at The Melting Pot, a fondue restaurant, in Salt Lake. We arrived at 5:30pm and ate for almost 2 hours! Afterwards we walked several blocks to Temple Square to view the billions of lights around the Salt Lake City temple. Our path was lit by the brightest full moon yet this year, and oh...it was so beautiful. The lights were beautiful too, and Lovey was so wonderful to me.

Afterwards we drove through Parley's Canyon towards Park City for our weekend stay. Lovey, again, treated me like a queen and reserved a room on the Concierge Floor at the Marriott - a hotel we both love. We stayed at the Marriott last October for Lovey's birthday and had a fabulous time. The Marriott has changed a few things since we last stayed here - they installed key cards in the elevators where those who stay on the 4th floor have to swipe their card to access it. Nice - we felt very affluent!

We slept in (until 8am), woke up to snow on the ground and snow falling around. We had breakfast in the hotel lounge, went to the Tanger Outlets, and amidst all the snow and wind we shopped!
Breakfast. Mmm, yummy blackberries
Do they rent these rooms for the week?!

We ate lunch - me a Southwest Salad, and Tony a Philly Cheesesteak - and then...I had a craving. A craving for carmel apples, just like I did last October. So we went to the best chocolate place we know in Park City, The Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, and satisfied my craving with an Almond covered Carmel Granny Smith apple.
I'm in heaven! Look at all these carmel apples
One sack was mine, one was Lovey's
Oh yeah, don't forget my mint oreo ice cream shake

And then I had another craving...for ice cream. Yes, I had a sweet tooth this afternoon!
