Directions & Letters

Becca & Miguel are so aware of their surroundings that they know where we are when we go for a drive. We turn down a street and they know we're going home. We drive towards the freeway and head South and they know we're going to see CyCy, JoJo, Reese, Gage...we head towards Sam's Club ("Kite Store") and they know we're going "shopping, shopping, shopping."

Saturday Tony & I took the girls with us to the Provo Towne Center and ate at Red Robin. Afterwards we rode the escalators up and down, up and down, up and down. Rebecca & Mary-Gail would say after each time, "Again! Again! Up! Down!" and then pull our hands towards the escalator. Tony had Mary-Gail and I had Rebecca. I loved watching Mary-Gail lead her Daddy to the "ride" and then get so excited as she stepped on. She was so happy to be with Tony, to hold his hand; and Tony was over joyed with his little lady. Tons of people (mostly women) cooed at him and Mary-Gail, and both of them ate it up!

We walked through the mall to the 2 other escalators and rode them up and down a few times before heading to the car. As we pulled out Mary-Gail started saying the letter "S" and Rebecca said "S...shopping." I turned around to marvel at my little wonders - Mary-Gail was pointing towards the SEARS sign on the mall and pointed out the letters "R" and "E." And Becca started playing with the zipper on her fleece jacket: "Z...z is for zipper." Who's kids are these???

Those little ladies! It's no mystery where their brilliance comes from...their turbo and mega intelligent mother (dad, too).

Oh yeah, at first I was like, "Miguel?" HuH? Then I found myself saying Mary Gail out loud and I laughed at the connection. Fun!
