Grandpa's Memory Table

At Grandpa's viewing and funeral, the family displayed pictures and memoribilia of Grandpa. I snapped pictures of the pictures shown here.

Top: Grandpa Gourley with his father George Crawley.
George Crawley died at the age of 42 - when Grandpa was only 18 yrs old.
Left: Grandpa w/his mom, Verda
Right: Grandpa w/his only sibling, his younger sister, Shirley

Left: Pictures of Grandpa as a boy.
Right: Pictures of his father & mother

Grandpa's high school picture. He was lovingly known as "Red" due to his red hair.
He graduated from Provo High School
and then graduated from BYU

Left: Grandpa and Grandma on their wedding day:
June 4, 1947 - 61 years ago
Right: Their engagement photo

Left: Grandpa sporting his awesome figure on his honeymoon
Center: Grandpa in the Navy during WWII
Right: More pictures of Grandpa in high school.
Can you see why Grandma fell in love w/him?

Grandpa worked at US Geneva Steel for 28 years. It was there that he lost his right leg (below the knee) when a steel car fell on him. The car was empty; good thing too,
because he would have been crushed if it wasn't.
He worked for 8 more years until he retired.
Grandpa NEVER called in sick or missed one day of work!
