The story of the "Taped Bag"

Tony shared a funny story with me. Bare with me as I do my best to repeat it...

Wednesday night Tony went to his "Fun Shoot" where all these middle-aged men get together to play with their guns. There are 3 different stages with pretend scenarios where you grab your gun, shoot the bad guys while protecting the good guys. Usually the bad guys are standing behind the "friendlies" and you have to gage where you're going to shoot the bad guy. Wednesday night Tony was talking smack with some of his co-fanatic-gunners. They were all bragging about how quickly they were going to finish the stage, and Tony said he was going to complete it in 25 seconds.

The stage:
Your gun and magazine were enclosed in an overnight, zippered bag placed about 25 feet away. At the sound of the buzzer, you were to run to the overnight bag, remove your gun, load it with the magazine, and then shoot the bad guys that were hiding behind the friendlies.

Tony's turn arrived and he busted towards the overnight bag. It had been taped closed! The guys he was talking smack with had sabotaged him!!

Still, at the end of the stage, Tony's time was 23.19. His combined score for all three stages earned him 3rd overall. 3rd place out of 48 guys. He beat the two guys by a "land-slide."

That's my boy!
