December 5th

Pappy with all his grandbabies - 11 total, but 2 more are on the way...!
My Dad threw a family Christmas Party on Wednesday evening, December 5th, at "The Old Spaghetti Factory." Dad invited his sister Joan and her husband, Dick; and his brother Cam and his wife Karen (they didn't make it). Everybody else was there and we filled the whole banquet room!

Dad had the banquet room decorated with Christmas trees, lights, poinsettas, and had the banquet tables decorated with several centerpieces. The centerpieces were given away during the night from a raffel Dad had. Each child (except Rebecca, Mary-Gail, and Cy) were responsible for coloring placemats for everyone. We also were supposed to write down and share our favorite Christmastime memories (mine is forthcoming in another blog).

After supper was served - salad w/my favorite dressing - Pesto, yummy spaghetti, and tons and tons of sourdough bread w/garlic butter (did I mention YUMMY!?) and Spamoni ice cream - SOMEONE (dah, dah, dahh) walked through the outside door...

...SANTA somehow appeared from the outside door. Hooray! He somehow knew we were having a Christmas party, and somehow had a sack full of stuffed stockings and presents with each child's name on them, and somehow knew the perfect time to stop in. That Santa - he knows everything!!

Santa surrounded by eager youngsters patiently waiting to dig into their stockings and play with their gifts. How did he know all of their names???

Santa with Rebecca (L) & Mary-Gail (R); Grandma with Rebecca. Rebecca's shirt says, "Who needs Santa when you have Grandma!" and she's right!
Me and my candy-cane babies. Tony was at work and couldn't make it in time :(
P.S. Thanks to my sister Kristie: I forgot my memory card for my camera, so without Kristie taking and processing these pictures, I'd have none! Thank you again!
