Christmas presents

It was 1:30 pm on Christmas Day when Mom came over (she and Dad visited everyone's homes to see the kids and their loot), and when they arrived at our home, we were all still in our Pj's! Oh well. Mom showed our girls the best example of the spirit of Christmas: she didn't spend loads of money on my girls. Rather she gave them something that they'll love and keep forever...hand-made/hand-tied blankets.

Mary-Gail excited to open her 1st Christmas present!

Wow!! Look at what Mary-Gail got!
This picture doesn't show it, but Rebecca is "rocking"
because she LOVES her new, RED blanket

Yes, that is the beginnings of a smile on her face...

And this is the conversation that I had with Mary-Gail
as we took these pictures....

Me: "Mary-Gail, what did you get from Grandma?"

MG: "Oh boy! A new blanket and it's my favorite color, PURPLE!
I'm just so happy!"

MG: "See how happy I am?!"

MG: "Rebecca is happy with her blanket too (I promise)"
MG & Rebecca: "Geez, Grandma, you're the best!"

We did decide to change our clothes and go to Grandma & Grandpa Gourley's house for her Christmas lunch/dinner at 2:00 pm. Here are the girls in their new Christmas outfits their Grandma & Grandpa Kemp in South Carolina sent them.
And they remembered their colors too - Rebecca in Red; Mary-Gail in Purple.
