A Love of Reading...Continued

A while ago Tony & I started leaving words out of the stories when we'd read to the girls. And do you know what? Rebecca & Mary-Gail fill in the missing words! We realized they knew more than they let on, especially when they started singing their nighttime songs with us and repeating the words in our prayers we'd say throughout the day.

Lovey reading to our girls before bedtime (3/23). The book is Opposites by Sandra Boynton. Like so many families, her books line our bookshelf (some we've borrowed permanently from JoJo - like Blue Hat, Green Hat, which kicks up a laugh in Mary-Gail each time we read it)

Me reading to Rebecca & Mary-Gail (who is playing on the floor). This too was Monday, 3/23, the day I got home for NYC, and I couldn't wait to pick up my littles!

Geniuses, pure geniuses. You are a good mom. I want to punch the nurse in the face who suggested that you were a crap mom for not reading to FOUR month olds. Sheesh.
