Friday, Sept 3rd - Butterflies at Sea

Loves these finger-painted butterflies? One of the crafts the girls did at the Aquanauts program.

Friday night was Formal Night again, but it was also lobster night. We had a dilemma: we brought no formal clothes what-so-ever, but we both wanted lobster. What to do, what to do. Lovey talked with our head waiter at the seated dining, and arranged for us to have our meals brought to our room as room-service.

The girls tried shrimp, and lobster, but weren't fans. Instead, they ate the prime rib (Lovey's little meat eaters!) and vegetables. They also ate 2 Caesar salads and absolutely loved the cream of asparagus. I should have taken pictures of them devouring their food, but I was too hungry to do anything but eat myself.

After we finished stuffing ourselves, we went swimming. Or tried to. The night was turning cooler as we were leaving the warm waters of the Mexican Riviera on our journey back to LA. And since the boat pumped in the ocean water, it wasn't as warm as it had been on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Plus, it started raining, and the rain fell hard. We didn't even shower off the salt water at the pool - just grabbed our wet towels and ran back to our room. Mr. Lukmann had been in to turn our beds down and he left the girls another towel-present:

a momma cow with her little baby calf. I think Mr. Lukmann was trying to tell me something with all the milk I was drinking!
